The Faculty of Sacred Theology (FST), the Center for Religious Studies and Ethics (CRSE), and the Institute of Religion (IR) of the University of Santo Tomas, Manila, Philippines are holding the Theology Week 2018 Conference on February 26 – March 2, 2018 (8:00a.m. to 5:00p.m.) at the Function Rooms (4th floor) of the Buenaventura G. Paredes, O.P. (BGPOP) Building, University of Santo Tomas, Manila, Philippines. The Theology Week Conference is a biennial event the main objective of which is to foster conversations on current and relevant theological themes and issues.
Theology Week 2018’s theme is “Church in Communion: Theology and Expressions” which is meant as a closing reflection for the Philippine Church’s celebration of the year of the Parish as a communion of communities. This year’s conference is also adopted by the Center for Religious Studies and Ethics as the 4th Leonardo Legaspi, OP Lecture Series on Religious Studies and Ethics. Likewise, the Institute of Religion adopts the conference as St. Thomas Aquinas Forum 2018. A selected set of Conference papers shall later be reviewed for publication.
We are inviting all interested theologians, religious educators, scholars and academicians, pastoral workers and other interested groups to submit papers and to participate in this Conference.
Interested paper presenters are required to submit an abstract with the following information: title, abstract of about 300 words, 3-5 keywords, author/researcher’s name, affiliation, contact number and email address.
All submissions should be sent as email attachments to email@example.com. You may also submit the abstract to the Office of the Ecclesiastical Faculties, University of Santo Tomas, Manila, Philippines. The following are important dates to remember:
Deadline for the submission of Abstracts – October 15, 2017
Notification of Acceptance – October 30, 2017
Final Submission of Papers – December 30, 2017
Admission to the Conference is for FREE but it is on a first come, first served basis. We will announce the opening of the pre-registration soon. Participants who will present their papers will be prioritized.
Moreover, the Conference is also offered as a three-unit seminar/research course. A separate guideline for this arrangement shall later be announced.
